Objective: To re-install Qiime2 and work through the moving pictures tutorial.

Purpose: To learn the functions of Qiime2 so that we can use the program in our analysis of our soil DNA samples.

Procedure: 

1. Re-Install Miniconda and Qiime2
2. Start the “Moving Pictures” tutorial
3. Make a folder and import the data that we will analyze
4. Run Demultiplexing sequences
5. Sequence quality control and feature table construction
6. Run the dada2 de-noise – single method
7. Create feature table and feature data summaries
8. Run Taxonomic analysis

Future Steps: I hope to be able to use this to create figures that are understandable and informational for the data from the samples we collected and had sequenced.

Conclusion: The moving pictures tutorial was easy to get through as long as we made sure to follow the steps. Creating visuals of the data will be an extremely useful skill in the future.
