Lab 8

Purpose: to run our DNA sample and get an image of it.

Procedure:

• Set up 1.5% gel
  • Load 10 uL of PCR samples (both the treatment and the control)
  • Load 5 uL of 1kb ladder fluid
• Run on 100 V for 30 minutes

Results:

This is the UV analysis of the gel. Our lanes were 6 and 7. You can see the amplification through PCR pretty well in our sample.

Conclusion: This weeks lab was very short, we ran our gels, took our midterm, then discussed expectations for our posters. The next time we have lab, we will be presenting our posters to the class.
