About
The Smith Fellowship promotes professional growth of Biology Graduate Students through support for presentation at society meetings, participation in academic guilds, purchase of texts, extramural training and other financial support. This fellowship is merit and need-based, to be awarded this scholarship you must submit a current FAFSA with the Financial Aid Office to confirm eligibility. Reimbursement for this support will be credited to your student account per policy of the Financial Aid Office.
APplying
In order to file a FAFSA, you will need to go to their website and follow the prompts as either a new or a returning user. While filling out the form, make sure that you put in the correct college code so that it will be filtered to Baylor’s Financial Aid Office. Baylor’s college code is 003545. We’ve included a handy pdf pamphlet below that may help with the process.
If you are an International Student, you are not eligible to fill out a FAFSA. Instead, you will need to complete a CSS Profile and it costs $25 to submit.
