Baylor Counseling Center (BUCC)
Located on Second Floor of the McLane Student Life Center on the opposite side of the Health Center, is the Baylor Counseling Center (BUCC). The BUCC offers many Clinical Services including individual therapy, a variety of Group Therapies, Eating Disorders Care, and much, much more.
Hours
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
Walk-In Hours
Monday – Friday / 9:00 – 4:00*
(*must arrive no later than 3:30)
Walk-In clinic is available for students seeking Baylor University Counseling Services for the first time and students who have an urgent need to speak with a counselor before a scheduled appointment.
Extended Hours (Fall and Spring Semesters only)
Wednesday and Thursday 5:00p.m. – 7:00p.m.
Short-Term Option Only
The Counseling Center offers services for an entire semester. If you need a more long-term option, look at the resources below or contact the Counseling Center for a referral.
Psychology Today – Find a Therapist
Psychology Today has an online directory that allows you to search for Therapists, Psychologists, and Counselors near you. The search tool even helps you find a therapist that is in your health insurance network.
Baylor Health Center Psychiatry Services
For your mental health, if you need medications or psychiatric help, the Baylor Health Center does offer psychiatric services. A Psychiatrist and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner are available by referral from the Baylor Counseling Center or the Baylor Health Center. Visit the Health Center page for more information.
Therapist Assisted Online (TAO)
If want support, but do not have the time to attend therapy meetings, then TAO may be a valuable resource for you. Therapist Assisted Online (TAO) is an effective treatment for anxiety and other mental health problems that allows clients to proactively work on behavioral change while a clinician monitors progress on treatment tasks and symptom change over time. This is an online therapy option that Baylor provides.
