Having a degree in education can make you a better parent, according to a couple of SOE grads. That’s what Baylor School of Education alumni Aaron Pena, BSEd ’97, and Patricia Avila Pena, BSEd ’96, said in the cover story of the June 2014 edition of the Wacoan Magazine. The couple and their three children were pictured on the cover and in a Q&A story inside.
Aaron is principal at Woodway Elementary School, and Patricia is a kindergarten bilingual teacher at Hewitt Elementary, both in Midway ISD. They said that their education in the Baylor SOE has put them one step ahead as parents.
