EDU Logo VBaylor’s new Education Living Learning Center (LLC) will host a Parent’s Farewell Reception from 4-5 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19, the official move-in day for the LLC. Parents and students will hear brief comments from Baylor President Ken Starr and School of Education Dean Dr. Michael McLendon. The reception will be in the Penland Dining Commons.

Other highlights of the reception will be Dr Pepper floats and a special presentation celebrating the partnership between the School of Education and Baylor Campus Living & Learning.

Move-In Day will start early with students moving into the newly renovated South Russell Hall, home of the Education LLC. School of Education faculty and staff, along with other Baylor volunteers, will be helping students move in.

“This will be a celebration that marks the beginning of a new journey for the School of Education,” said Erin Stamille, MSEd ’12, Program Director for the Education LLC.

After the parents leave, Education LLC students will join SOE faculty and staff for an Education LLC Picnic at 6 p.m. in the Russell Courtyard, the lawn inside of Russell Hall. Games and food will be provided, and students can meet professors and their families.
