Mayborn Meet a Scientist, 10/25/19
Meet a Scientist are volunteer sessions where researchers set up a table with hands-on activities and visuals to connect with museum-goers about a topic they are passionate about. Shown here are the slides that play behind Keighley as she talks about concepts such as how cells make up the body and look different and even what happens when they misbehave (cancer)! She pairs these ideas with hands-on activities such as pretending to be a cancer surgeon where she discusses the importance of getting all the cells and the ramifications if some cells are left and looking into a microscope at a stained tissue section.
