Need someone to pick up 8-year-old daughter from Lake Air Montessori at 3:30 pm (at least Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, but preferably Monday-Friday) bring her home and stay until 5:30. Ensure that children complete their homework, practice piano, and help get ready for the next day. BIC Student Worker Application – Fall 2023

Join the BIC Team!

This application is for students interested in becoming a Student Worker Fall 2023. This position will be a part-time, paid position, with the opportunity to work this upcoming Spring 2024, as well. 

BIC needs a student worker to assist the upstairs BIC office (Morrison 231) throughout the semester. This job will require that the student worker be present Tuesday and Wednesday during each week of the fall semester. The student can choose the times that work best for their class schedule. The student worker will assist the BIC advisors, perform clerical tasks, deliver mail to the department, and office maintenance. Ability to learn and perform basic clerical tasks is essential as well as the willingness to step in and assist with any needed tasks. All current BIC students are welcome to apply. BIC Summer Positions Open!

BIC needs two 20-hour a week summer workers to assist BIC during Orientation around June 1-July 21. These jobs will require that the student worker be present Monday through Wednesday during each week of Orientation. The student worker will recruit students for BIC during Orientation and must be knowledgeable about all facets of BIC. They must be able to communicate effectively with prospective students and their families. In addition, the student worker will assist, as is needed, the Admissions Analyst in the processing of applications and notification to admitted students. Ability to learn and perform basic clerical tasks is essential as well as the willingness to step in and assist with any needed tasks. Current BIC students are welcome to apply. BIC is also looking for one 10-hour a week student recruiter for Summer Orientation (Mondays and Tuesdays during Orientation around June 1-July 21). The student will participate in recruiting events across campus, answering questions about BIC to prospective students. If you have interest in this position, please upload a cover letter and CV. We prefer students who can be present on every date listed. Interviews will be conducted in April.

Students taking a summer school course at Baylor in June or July are eligible if they do not exceed 20 hours of paid work per week.

National Security and Intelligence Scholarship Opportunities

Summer Opportunity – CUSP Institute 2023 at Penn State

The Philosophy Department at Penn State organizes two distinct CUSP programs each year. These programs are directed toward prospective graduate students in philosophy from traditionally underrepresented groups (including African Americans, Chicano/as and Latino/as, Native Americans, and Asian Americans).

The Summer Institute is primarily intended for rising undergraduate sophomores or juniors (others are still encouraged to apply) who are considering pursuing an academic career in Philosophy and wish to learn more about what it means to be a part of the discipline.
