In Poor Richard’s Almanac Benjamin Franklin wrote, “He that cannot obey, cannot command.” This quote teaches me that you must follow before you may lead. While following, people are often given the opportunity to learn from someone more experience than themselves. As a young business person, I plan to follow and gain knowledge from those who lead until my time to lead arrives.

The only thing that has had a greater influence on my life than my father, is my Faith. As a part of my faith as a Christian, I am compelled to serve God. I am not perfect, but I try to honor Him in all that I do. Under the pseudonym Poor Richard, Benjamin Franklin wrote, "What is serving God? 'Tis doing good to man." I believe this wholeheartedly. Therefore, I make sure I dedicate time each year to some type of community service.
