In eighth grade, I started working at Blue Valley Recreation as a basketball referee for fourth and fifth graders. I really enjoyed working with both the kids and parents. It taught me how to be professional, and how to be
respectful with superiors and elders, even when others are not showing you the most respect. It was a good first job because I learned what it means to have a job and how to be responsible. I worked two seasons and then moved to a different job.

I then worked at the local Dairy Queen for a limited time. I was forced to quit because I did not have enough

time to do all of my schoolwork, extracurricular activities and work all at the same time. The past two summers, I have worked for Youth Tech Inc., where I taught kids from the age of five to fifteen about computers, and how to do a variety of fun things on computers.

Currently, I am waiting to hear back from Kanakuk Kamps for a position this summer. I went to Kanakuk for six summers as a camper and am hopeful that I will be able to work there this summer. If I do not get the job, I will continue to work at Youth Tech for at least another summer. I have enjoyed every job that I have had and hope that I can keep the streak alive.I taught them how to create video games, animations, web pages, and robots. I find the material very interesting and it is very enjoyable to see the kids’ excitement over the projects is vey fulfilling to see.
