College

College is a time to learn. I’m not talking about the course subject kind of learning but more of an internal learning that one needs to do. Leaving your house, your own comfort and coming to a foreign place like college while living with strangers can seem intimidating but that’s the idea of it all. College is about trying to explore your surrounds and find out what and how you can benefit from it. It’s about being uncomfortable until it’s comfortable. I’m here at college not only to get a higher education and make a living in the future, but I want to find out how I can attribute to society and how I utilizes my experiences today to make a bigger difference tomorrow.

The Leasons

I learned that college is not about the grades nor is it mainly about what you learn in your classes. It is more about how you manage your life around school and stress. On some days, college can feel its suffocating you and there’s no room to breathe. However, on other days, you would sit down and evaluate your life and you count all the blessings in your life because of college. I learned that even when it feels like the end, it’s not. At the end of that dark tunnel, I found light and I imagine how different my views where a month ago. You just have to keep going and continue to move past obstacles that stands in your way, even when it feels like there’s no way around it, there is.

My Class

My MIS class is really challenging. I enjoy exploring excel and learning new concepts within the software. Yet at the same time, the assessments and practice case was really difficult in the beginning. I wish there was more lecture and note-taking in that class but when the exams came, it was hard to study for this class. All in all, this class really help my knowledge with excel and access, it was one of my most useful classes.
