The Home Stretch for Core 2

Just like last semester everything starts to fly by when you start to feel you just got started. We are rounding out the year with finance and economics tomorrow and I can’t believe we are already close to the end.

I don’t know about my colleagues but I found Core 2 to be a bit more challenging then the first. Granted progression through the MBA program should become more difficult I felt it was more because of the lack of time than anything. I’m busy today, I’ll be busy tomorrow, and it doesn’t let up through the end of the week. Even this past holiday weekend was cut short in order to meet with my group for class on Wednesday. This is definitely representative of the workplace since I remember there is “always something to do” but time management almost gets thrown out the window. Whether it is coordinated deal flow for G51, reviewing case studies for the case competition team, or finishing up negotiations for entrepreneurial finance there are a never-ending list of meetings to make sure everything gets done.  It’s also possible that all the group activities take up more time than knocking everything out one afternoon but again that falls inline with the “real world” as well.

There is nothing to fret about though. My grades are still solid and I feel confident moving into the final leg of the race. However, I can say it hasn’t been easy and I feel it won’t let up anytime soon.
