Unfortunately spring break is over and it seems to go a lot quicker than it used to. For some reason having a week off felt like plenty of time to catch up and relax. This didn’t turn out to be the case.
I was able to get out a bit and the weather has been fantastic over the week. However, it doesn’t feel quite as relaxing as I had hoped. This is probably my own fault considering I kept reading over stuff due next week and remaining vigilant in the job search. More over it really is coming to terms with responsibility and the fact that nothing ever stops moving. This seems obvious but even on vacation there is the hope that taking time off to rejuvenate will do exactly that. The only problem is your work and other activities didn’t take the same vacation. Its funny to think when your younger and summer vacation is coming, you really don’t think about anything other than what is going on at that particular moment. Pushing forward to the future and getting a break only means the work will not pile up as fast.
As of right now I am still searching for an internship. Its not an enviable place to be and presents more anxiety than promise. With acquiring a summer position at the forefront of my mind it may be the reason my break was not as relaxing as I would have liked. In the end, its all in a days work and my only option is to keep moving forward.
