Each year 5 to 7 million pets enter animal shelters nationwide every year.  Out of those pets 3 to 4 million dogs and cats are killed every year because shelters are too full and there are not enough adoptive homes. Roof Over Strays is an organization that advocates finding homes for stray animals, supporting a no-kill policy in shelters, and micro-chipping adopted pets.  The city of Waco, Texas takes in roughly 10-15 thousand animals every year. We work with other force-change groups to fundraise and take action in our city. We love animals and every companion deserves a home.
