My family is the most important thing in the world to me. I am extremely blessed with so much family that lives so close to me. On my mom’s side, I have 13 family members that live right around us that I see almost constantly. On my dad’s side, it’s just his parents. I love my family so much and I do not know what I would do without them. They all have encouraged me to follow whatever it is my heart feels called to do.

My mom’s mom, Mops, has been my biggest inspiration through everything we’ve been through as a family and everything I have gone through as an individual. She has shown me a light in the faith and showed me that life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it. The week after I moved to Waco for college, Hurricane Harvey took all of our homes and without my Mops and my mom, I don’t think we could be as strong as we are.

These days a lot of people grow up with pretty crazy family stories, and I am so blessed that I have had such an amazing family to live this life with. My parents are my best friends and without them, there is no way that I could have ever gotten to where I am today without them. they have supported every activity I wanted to try, and when I wound up in a bind, they would be there with open arms ready to help me. They have shown me what it is to love, and I will forever strive to be the kind of kind that they are.
