Did you know? The OVPR provides proposal development assistance

You probably know that the OVPR provides faculty with assistance in finding sources of research funding through our internal grant programs and a campus-wide subscription to the Pivot database.  What you may not know is that we also offer one-on-one and group-based proposal development services!

Check out brief descriptions of the services we offer and contact our office with any questions.

Proposal writing and editorial assistance — OVPR staff are available to assist faculty with pre-submission review and commentary on draft grant proposals.  Click here for more information.

OVPR grant-writing seminars — We offer an annual grant-writing seminar where faculty of any experience level can learn how to produce competitive proposals to any funding agency.  We offer a general session for all faculty as well as dedicated seminars for faculty interested in STEM or biomedical career awards from agencies like the NSF or NIH. The next round of seminars will take place in January of 2018.  Click here to learn more.

Proposal development award — Faculty who have attended our grant-writing seminar are invited to apply for a competitive program that provides selected applicants with an intensive, one-on-one proposal development program in collaboration with a professional grant-writer.  At the conclusion of the program, participants will have a fully peer-reviewed proposal that is ready for submission to their chosen funding agency.
