Education

The only fence against the world is a thorough knowledge of it.

Cedar Hill Collegiate High School/ Cedar Valley College

Class of 2012

While enrolled in high school, I had the opportunity to complete 66 hours of college credit for free. On May 10, 2012, before I even graduated from high school, I graduated from Cedar Valley College where I received my Associate of Arts degree. June 1, 2012 I received my diploma. This opportunity is something that I will be forever grateful for. Not only did it give me a head start on college, but it also saved my parents 66 hours worth of tuition.

Baylor University

Class of 2016

I am currently a sophomore by major and a senior by credits studying nursing. At the end of this coming fall semester I will apply to nursing schools. After completing the two years of nursing school , I will go on to graduate school where I plan to receive my Masters in Nurse Anesthesia to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist, or CRNA.

Over the summer, before starting at Baylor, I got the opportunity to work at a hospital and shadow a CRNA.  I felt a compassion and desire to help others and share in their lives.  I feel that this profession will not only be rewarding to me, but also an opportunity to make a difference in the life of someone else.  When the patient decides to be operated on, they want to know that they will go through the process with minimum pain and will be awaken from the anesthesia.
