Eating Always Helps

Sometimes, as students at a university, we forget to eat on a regular schedule which can be a bad habit to pick up. I am constantly reminding myself that I need to stay on a good eating schedule so that I can stay healthy and happy. This is a common problem that many students have to deal with because it is typically their first time living on their own. I am getting better about having a regular eating schedule, but at the same time I am still learning to remind myself.

Organization is Key

After spending some time in college, I have found that some of my previously learned skills from past jobs I have worked at have come in to play with my organization. After working as a host as well as kitchen staff, I learned major organizational skills that really benefit me now while I’m here at Baylor. One of the major keys to success in college is to be very organized so you can find, use and study past materials that you may not know where they have been if you weren’t organized. This is a skill I am using but also still learning to become even better at being organized.

Final Stretch

Towards the end of the semester, I am tending to feel more homesick than I have been in the past. I constantly have to remind myself to stay focused so I can complete my work. I also know that all of the other students here on campus, including my friends, are in the same situation. We just have to make sure to stay on top of our work and study well for finals!

Christmas on 5th

Here at Baylor, we have an event called Christmas on 5th which is basically a big Christmas festival with small rides, statues, and food. It is a great time to come out to the campus and see the Christmas lights that have been put up. I really enjoyed my time here as I went with a big group of my friends and had an amazing night. I will definitely be looking forward to attending this event again next year!

Texans Quarterback

It is a shame to hear that the Houston Texans’ quarterback, Deshaun Watson, had an injury in practice with his ACL. I am a huge fan of him as well as the Texans, so after hearing about this news I am worried for our chances at playoffs. Watson showed what he can do on and off the field and he has proven to everyone that he is natural at being a leader. I cannot wait until he is completely recovered so I can watch him play again.
