One of my current classes is Organizational Behavior. As a whole, the course focuses on the ‘softer side’ of business, including people management and company culture. One part of this course is partnering with a company to do a project in which we ask their current employees questions related to different aspects of working there such as company culture and ease of communication.
Through this project, we are given the opportunity to see first hand how important the people who work for a company are as well as how important the culture of the business is.
My group chose our company a few weeks ago and have now begun the process of interviewing the company’s employees in order to see if there are any ways the company can improve itself. To begin, we devised one set of questions to use during the first round of interviews. We will then alter our questions according to the responses we get in order to look further into any topics that may be of concern to employees.
I’ve really enjoyed the experience thus far and am looking forward to completing the project and reporting our findings to the company!
