Dr. Charlotte Daniel serves as Assistant Professor of Flute at the Baylor University School of Music in Waco, Texas, where she also performs as a member of the Baylor Winds and as Principal Flutist of the Waco Symphony Orchestra. In collaboration with the Baylor Winds, she performed as chamber soloist in March 2019 with the Waco Symphony Orchestra, and in June 2019 as guest faculty and concerto soloist at the Festival Internacional de Música Alfredo de Saint Malo in Panama. With the Austin-based wind quintet, QuinTexas, she claimed the Silver Medal in the 2016 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the Coleman-Saunderson Prize in Winds, Brass and Percussion at the 2015 Coleman Chamber Ensemble Competition.

 

Dr. Daniel has served as invited guest performer, educator, and adjudicator for festival and convention programming led by the National Flute Association, Texas Flute Society, Austin Flute Society, Houston Flute Club, Central Texas Flute Society, Austin Chamber Music Center, Abilene Flute Festival, Mountain Light Music Festival, Texas Music Educators Association, Music Teachers National Association, Musical Merit Foundation of San Diego, and the University Interscholastic League. She has performed with the Abilene Philharmonic, Austin Symphony Orchestra, Round Rock Symphony Orchestra, Ann Arbor Opera,and as orchestra fellow at the Brevard Music Center, Bayview Music Festival, and National Music Festival.

 

Dr. Daniel holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Flute Performance from The University of Texas at Austin, MM degrees in both Chamber Music and Flute Performance from the University of Michigan, and the BM in Flute Performance from Oklahoma State University where she was the recipient of the Presser Scholar Award. Her principal teachers include Marianne Gedigian, Amy Porter, Conor Nelson, Karla Ordonez, and Donna Shin.
