“B” Association to Honor Baylor Legend Colin Allred

The “B” Association and Baylor Athletics will recognize former linebacker, Colin Allred, as a 2020 Baylor Football Legend at the Baylor vs. TCU game this Saturday, October 31st.

An all-star player at Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Allred went on to earn four varsity letters at Baylor from 2001 through 2005. Known for his fierce defensive play and strong leadership skills, Allred was selected as the Bear’s Team Captain and Defensive MVP in 2005. That same year he led the team in Total Sacks with 5.5 for 41 total yards, and he received Defensive Player of the Week honors by the Big 12 Conference.  Allred also excelled in the classroom, earning All-Academic Big 12 in 2004 and 2005.

After his senior season, Allred represented Baylor in the Hula Bowl All-Star Classic. With diploma in hand and prepared to attend law school after leaving Baylor, he deferred his acceptance to the University of California Berkeley School of Law and opted to play professional football. As an undrafted free agent, he spent five years in the National Football League with the Tennessee Titans before sustaining a career-ending neck injury that opened the door for him to fulfill his dream of studying law and applying his legal training to help others.

Allred currently serves as a U.S. Congressman for Texas in the 32nd Congressional District.

Please join us at McLane Stadium this Saturday as we honor 2020 Baylor Football Legend Colin Allred.
