About Me

I started out at Baylor majoring in Astrophysics, and I quickly learned that that was not for me. I switched to Architecture and stayed with it for 4 semesters until I realized that I did not have a passion for it. It was then that I took advantage of Baylor’s Career Counseling services and tried to find somethig that I would enjoy and feel fulfilled in.

After many weeks of research and prayer, many of my friends began to suggest that I would be very good at Event Planning. I have always enjoyed organizing and planning things out, even to the point that cleaning and organizing is cathartic and stress-releiveing for me. I researched the career and decided that that was something I would like to do.

I found that Family and Consumer Science was the best major availabale at Baylor that would lead to a career in Event Planning. Other people that also majored in Family and Consumer Science have pursued careers including ministry and teaching, both of which I consider other careers I would find enjoyable and would be happy to have as “fall back” careers. As a result of my four semesters in Architecture, I had already completed most of the requirements for a Studio Art minor, so I decided to finish it out since I found the art classes so enjoyable.

I look forward to marrying my best friend on May 31, 2014. We are unsure of our plans for after our marriage right now, but we are completely confident that God has great plans for us and we are excited to see what He has in store.
