Today, Ms. Bilton was out for Intern training so I was able to take charge of the class. We also had a sub but she let me lead the class. Today felt like it went so much faster than all the other days because I was on my feet doing things the whole day in a different way than I normally do. I was very thankful for the chance to take charge and be with the students without the pressure of having my mentor teacher there. The day went pretty smoothly until our 8th/9th block period which was chaotic. It was the end of the day and the students were not listening well and the inclusion teacher took a group of them to the study room to work on their assignments. I am very glad I had her help during that class! Overall, today was a great learning experience and it helped me gain confidence and authority in the classroom.
