As I’ve mentioned the list of interviews I’ve had recently, it’s important to remember the individuals who allowed me to take advantage of each of these opportunities. For example, this includes all of the professors who recognize that the purpose of our reason for getting an MBA is to get a better job.
So when I got a call back from both Southwest Airlines and AT&T for follow-up interviews, it was really helpful when I notified the professors teaching classes on those days and they were more than helpful in accommodating me. This may seem like a given but it isn’t actually always the case. There are a few instances when scheduling an interview during a class period didn’t go over very well or that it wasn’t so easily received.
This last portion isn’t the normal for my time here at Baylor and it certainly hasn’t been this semester. It is good to know that each of these professors have not only the best intentions but also have the same great expectations I have for myself as I move forward in my career.
