Redefining Faith

Does the grave cut us off forever from those we love? Do the global followings of creative writers ever assume religious, even cult-like dimensions? Why might sacred stories sometimes need to be reimagined? How might literature claim divine authority to protest injustice?  This section invites you to consider these and related questions through exhibits that highlight the ways in which the Brownings redefined—and were redefined by—forms of faith.
