Creative practice has been important to me for many years, even when I didn’t have a name for it. More recently, creative practice has not only been an outlet but a kind of salvation in times of darkness, doubt, and difficulty. Sometimes the words are messages of hope, sometimes of encouragement, sometimes of challenge. The ritual act of creation — whether artistic or ordinary — is a sustaining motion forward and sometimes that’s all we can strive for.
