Puritan Paranoia

This is an excerpt from MEMORABLE PROVIDENCES, RELATING TO WITCHCRAFTS AND POSSESSIONS (1689). This book describes an incident with a man declared as possessed.  This book was extremely popular during the time of the Salem Witch Trials. There was a copy in the home of Samuel Parris, Salem’s minister.
