Conference Hotel

The conference hotel is the Hotel Indigo. A discounted group rate is available to RTS members; visit the RTS 2022 hotel booking link, or call +1 (254) 754-7000  to reserve your room.  The group code for the room block is “RSS”.  The room block is available for any four evenings from Thursday, May 19 through Sunday, May 22.

Travel Information

The Waco Regional Airport (ACT) is located less than 10 miles away from Baylor’s campus and the conference hotel, and there are 5 daily nonstop flights offered by American Airlines between ACT and the DFW International Airport (DFW) airport. For most RTS members, this is likely the most convenient and cost-efficient way to travel to Baylor University.   Other airport options include the DFW and the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). By car (rental or ride-sharing via Lyft or Uber), both DFW and AUS are less than 2 hours away from Baylor’s campus and the conference hotel.  There’s also a bus option from DFW to Waco (but not from AUS to Waco).

For those arriving by car, here is a campus map showing free visitor parking (circled in red) for the Foster Campus (circled in green).

General Information about the Risk Theory Society

The Risk Theory Society, originally founded in August 1963 as the Risk Theory Seminar, is a self-administered organization within the American Risk and Insurance Association (ARIA) whose purpose is to foster research into topics in risk theory and risk management. The Society accomplishes its mission by hosting an annual meeting where papers that have been distributed to members in advance of the meeting are presented and critically discussed in an extended time format. RTS has financial resources to provide assistance to authors who present papers. Please contact the treasurer for more information.
