Later this month, the National Science Foundation will begin performing additional compliance checks on proposals submitted through the FastLane system. In many cases, these automated checks will help to identify potential issues so applicants can correct the problems before proposal submission, reducing the chances that a proposal is rejected due to noncompliance with technical requirements. Investigators should note that the checks will NOT be conducted on proposals submitted through Grants.gov and that noncompliant proposals submitted through Grants.gov will be returned without review.
