IRB votes to require use of updated forms for protocol submission

Baylor’s Institutional Review Board has recently voted to require investigators to use a new set of forms and templates for protocol submission through the online IRBNet system.  The new forms were released in August, but old versions of the forms have remained in the system and use of the new versions has been optional during the transitional period.

Following the recent IRB announcement, the old forms will be removed from the website at the end of the current semester.  As of Jan. 12, 2015 only the new forms will be accepted for review. Researchers who have used the old forms in the past and may have saved them for future use should be aware that those forms will not be accepted in new submissions beginning with the Jan. 12 date.

The research website and associated links are still undergoing preparation for future change as we continue to develop web pages that are informative and user-friendly for our researcher community. We continue to offer our thanks to you for your patience during this transition.
