Upcoming event: OVPR Proposal Development Workshop

The OVPR would like to invite all Baylor faculty members to attend our 4th annual proposal development workshop on Jan. 9 and 10, 2014. The workshop is designed to help faculty members of all experience levels become more effective proposal writers.

You’ll attend just one of the two days depending on your academic area and target funding agency. Faculty in science disciplines (those primarily interested in applying for funding from the NIH, NSF, DoD, NASA, etc.) will attend on Thursday, Jan. 9, while those in the arts & humanities (those targeting funding from the NEH, NEA, Dept. of Education, private foundations, etc.) will attend on Friday, Jan. 10. The seminar will be held on the Baylor campus (exact location TBA) and each day’s session will last from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided by the OVPR.

Our presenter is Dr. Peg AtKisson of Grant Writers’ Seminars and Workshops. A neuroscientist by training, Dr. AtKisson is the former director of proposal development at Tufts University. Click here to learn more about Grant Writers’ Seminars and Workshops.

The workshop is sponsored by the OVPR, so there is no cost to attend. Seats are limited and we typically have a full house, so sign up early to ensure you are able to join us.

To register for the workshop, click here and fill in the online form. Contact Blake Thomas at 710-3153 with any questions about this event.
