University Research Committee announces recipients of FY 2014 small and mid-range grants

The OVPR and the University Research Committee are proud to announce the results of the 2014 URC Small and Mid-Range Grant Programs.  These grants are intended to expand Baylor faculty members’ research capacity by providing support for research or creative activities in any academic area.

URC small grants support budgets of up to $4,500, while mid-range grants provide up to $7,500. Both programs support faculty projects which advance knowledge or promote creative activities, while mid-range grants are also intended to serve as seed funding to help investigators compete successfully for external grants.

Just like the previously announced URSA Small Grants and FRIP/YIDP programs, the URC supports faculty investigators representing a broad range of academic disciplines across the university. The 16 projects funded by the URC this year involve faculty in 12 different academic departments across five colleges and schools.
