Reflection

Coming into the semester I never truly reflected on my leadership qualities and how my actions can affect those around me, even in a position as a follower. However, as I attended our leadership class, I learned an extensive amount about the variety of leaders and the qualities a successful leader possesses. From attending lectures to discussing our readings in class, I can now say I have learned what it means to be a leader. It is not how successful you are or how many followers you have, but the connections you make and your compassion for others. Mrs. Peters has been an incredible professor to have and has not only taught what leadership is, but showed it through UnBound and her passion for changing the world in a positive way. I can walk away from this class knowing that I have improved as a leader and learned what is truly important.
