Dates available vary for each newspaper based on their individual histories but collectively cover from 1893 – 2005. Includes almost every issue Variety has ever published, including articles, ads, front pages and back covers. Contents include the history of the entertainment business, information on film and television companies and their key players, and box office returns

ProQuest International Newsstand

Provides news stories from more than 660 worldwide news sources, mostly newspapers. Sources are thoroughly indexed, providing users with access to top news stories, as well as sports, business, and the arts news from around the world. Articles from foreign language newspapers appear in the language used by the news source. This database does offer a translation feature for most news items.

World News Connection

Provides translated and English-language news and information from non-US media sources throughout the world, including newspapers, periodicals, websites, non-classified technical documents, conference proceedings, television, and radio broadcasts.
