Curious where we’re going on the trip? Well, I’d love to tell you!

Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu (KK) is a familiar destination for the Music & Missions alums. The first Baylor team trip there was in 2012, with subsequent trips in 2014, 2016, and 2018. We’re excited to connect with our friends there and for this new group to meet them!
In KK, we’ll be leading workshops and presenting a concert at Sabah Theological Seminary. While there, we will also explore the Filipino Market and Mari-Mari Cultural Village.
Jakarta
Leaving Malaysia, we’ll travel to Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia on the island of Java – the first time for this group! We’re excited to travel with an Indonesian native, Antonius Priyanto, a doctoral student in Church Music, who has worked diligently to coordinate our Indonesian adventures.
While in Jakarta, we’ll perform at Christ Chapel Karawaci (CCK) and Pelita Harapan University (UPH) and lead music clinics at Pelita Harapan School (SPH) and Lentera Harapan School (SLH). We will also tour Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan (YPPH), visit Indonesian Miniature (TMII), and have a city tour of Jakarta!
Yogyakarta
Referred to as “Jogja” by locals, Yogyakarta is our final destination. We’ll take a short flight across the island to Central Java (the drive would be more than 8 hours).
In Yogya, we’ll present songs, lead Bible studies, and participate in an interfaith discussion at Gadjah Mada University (UGM). We’ll also tour the Prambanan Temple and shop at Hamzah Batik (especially for jewelry)!
We’ll say our goodbyes in Yogya before flying back to Jakarta to start the journey home. Long haul flight tips welcome!
Four more days until we’re on our way!
Praying for this entire group!!!
