Welcome to the 2024 Music & Missions blog!
Wondering what it’s like to leave on an international trip right after the semester ends? Let’s set the scene for you. Close your eyes (well, don’t do that, but you get the idea)… It’s 11:42 am, and you’re walking out of your last final. What a relief!! Just kidding, you have 23 text messages from the team about the trip.1
Are we allowed to wear pants or no??
I can’t find the Visa application link – can someone send it??
Here’s that pronunciation video for Mamarayou!
Is our workshop planning meeting today or tomorrow?
Why do we need to bring a smashed roll of toilet paper???
Sure, you made it through the semester, but your work has just begun. Take a deep breath, get yourself a coffee (because you earned it), and then you better go find your suitcase and get packing! Oh wait… Did you get your suitcase from home?? Surely you did, right? Better go check!
Okay, you can open your eyes. How did that feel?? Are you stressed? Excited? Tired?? You’re right on par with us then! Welcome to the team, we’ll see you at the airport 😎
If you’re reading this, I hope you’ll take a moment to pray for our team. You can see why we need it! You can ask the Lord to give us lots of deep breaths, clear thinking, memory for all of the important details, and a multiplication of our sleep. Pray that God would keep us all healthy and well in this final week leading up to the trip and even more so while we’re gone!
To pray for us as we go, we hope you’ll subscribe to this blog to receive an email with each of our posts throughout the trip. We would love to share these stories with you! Simply enter your email and you’ll be set to go.
See you soon!
