At the heart of what Mindfulness BU pursues is a desire to highlight the vital connection between mindful, prayerful inner work and an active, engaged public life.
We engage through action. Our action arises from our prayer and mindfulness. Our prayer and mindfulness cultivate thoughtfulness, compassion, kindness, and humility. The common thread, or theme, in all of this is mindfulness as intentional practices of prayer, thoughtfulness, renewal, and action.
What we pursue in all that we do, as Jesus teaches, is to learn loving and compassionate ways to be good neighbors to each other and with each other.
