Ralph Lauren has a couple of different types of fits. The two most popular are the custom and the classic fit. It’s really up to you on which one to choose. The classic fit is more boxy, which is a wider fit. Whereas the custom is more tapered fit. My preference for sports shirts is the custom fit, because I like the more “tailored” look. For polo’s, I prefer the classic fit, because I like the looser fit for it.

Typically the custom fit is designed for more of a slimmer figure where the classic fit would be recommended for those who prefer a wider midsection. Below are some examples of what a custom and classic fit would look like.
