The Unborn (David S. Goyer, 2009)

The Unborn (David S. Goyer, 2009)January maintains its aura of sad dumping ground for lousy horror flicks with Goyer’s latest, which spins an almost nonsensical story of soul possession and features what has to be moviedom’s first exorcism of the one character in the movie who was never possessed. The film’s uncanny, creep-out images, including a crab-walking senior citizen and a dog with an upside down head, are certainly effective and made the film’s two-minute trailer a knock-out, but when strung out to feature length it is more silly than scary.
