Eraser (Charles Russell, 1996)

EraserHardly Schwarzenegger’s finest hour (the late ’90s were a generally rough ride for ’80s-era action stars), but still a diverting good time if you’re willing to check your brain at the door. It’s not hard to see how the story could have played at a much lower volume, but at some point it was turned into a “Schwarzenegger action vehicle,” with the Governator shouldering multiple weapons, losing his shirt sleeves, and battling angry crocodiles with a little help from some comical Mafiosos. It’s that kind of movie. (Netflix Streaming)
