The use of the word requiem in the title doesn’t make a lick of sense, but it doesn’t really need to. The very existence of AvPR is an apology for the much-maligned PG-13 compromises of 2004’s Alien vs. Predator, and it makes good on its R-rated responsibilities by ensuring that every death is suitably gory and no one—not small children, not likable waitresses, and certainly not a ward full of pregnant women—is safe.
