It’s not quite the hagiography I was afraid it would be, but it does play a little too much like an extended supplement on a Pixar DVD. You can’t really blame Iwerks, though, since Pixar is such a phenomenal Hollywood success story. The first half of the doc is infinitely more interesting in charting how Pixar was formed by merging art and technology, but the second half, which simply documents hit after hit, becomes understandably predictable.
