The Lady Vanishes (Alfred Hitchcock, 1938)

The Lady VanishesNot necessarily one of Hitchcock’s greatest films, but it is definitely one of his wittiest and certainly his most British. The thriller elements work well enough if you are able to completely suspend disbelief and ignore the ridiculousness of it all since it is, at heart, a comedy, and one that is good enough to make you wish Hitch had made a few more.(DVD)
