International Studies at Baylor

International Studies is an inter-university major that is housed in the Political Science Department at Baylor University. Students can shape their curriculum by choosing from a list of over 100 courses that are offered in more than a dozen different disciplines. Who is drawn to International Studies?

International Studies majors think the world is an interesting place filled with interesting people. International Studies majors enjoy adventure. Many of our majors have personal experience in multiple cultures. Some of these experiences include living overseas, immigrating to the United States, military service in Afghanistan or Iraq, or a major cross-country move.

What can I do with a major in International Studies?

International Studies is a liberal arts major. It prepares our students to read well, write well, and think well. These skills are applicable to a wide range of careers.  Here is a sample of jobs that our alumni hold:
