Many international studies majors chose this major because the classes are so appealing. Every international studies major learns about comparative political analysis and international relations. Every major needs to pass at least one upper-level foreign language course.
Beyond those three requirements, there is a huge menu of classes to choose from. Most students build a broad foundation that includes classes from several different regions of the world and academic disciplines. A few students choose to specialize on a certain region or theme. Students work with a faculty advisor and a professional advisor to plan a course of study that meets their unique learning goals.
