Belle Homer is a senior International Studies and French double major. She enjoys photography as a hobby. Belle took these photos while traveling Europe during her stay in Aix with the IAU study abroad program affiliation. She strongly encourages students to study abroad if they can. This photo is from the Gorges du Verdon, also known as the Grand Canyon of France. This river runs through several small towns filled with history, such as Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.

This photo is from one of the highest points on the cliffs in The Calanques; a series of rocky cliffs between Marseille and the town of Cassis, in southern France.

Once reaching the peak of Mt. Saint Victoire, it seemed appropriate to sic em at the top of the symbol of Provence.

The Bordeaux Cathedral is an 11th Century Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Andrew and located in Bordeaux, France. It is in the Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles and is a national monument in France.

Small, brightly colored fishing boats line the docks at the Vieux Port in Marseille.

A replica ship flies the French flag as it rests in the harbor at Marseille’s Vieux Port as the sun sets.
