The Rise of Suburban Hip Hop

In recent months it has became evident that hip hop artists from suburban backgrounds have began to gain steady ground on their more traditional “hood” influenced counter parts. Artists such as Chance The Rapper, Travis Scott and Kevin Abstract, are all considered to be at the pinnacle of “next” in the rap game. This is unique because rap and hip hip has always been so traditionally grounded in being from the “mean streets”. This should allow a new generation of suburban fans to exist.

My Favorite Albums

After briefly listing my favorite artists in my interest tab, I thought it would be appropriate to outline my favorite albums of all time. My definite number one is My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West, followed closely by Drake’s Take Care. Further behind is Kid Cudi’s debut album Man On The Moon: The End of Day. To finish out the top five I have to shout out both of Travis Scott’s albums Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight and Rodeo.
