Knowing the story behind history and art….

My column this week looks at the similarity between understanding history and understanding a work of art.  In each, knowing the story is the crucial aspect.  Even in the most abstract or non-representational examples of Modern art, there’s a story to help shine light on its creation.  The viewer just has to know where–and from what angle–to look.  Read the whole thing HERE.
