My column this week in the Waco Tribune-Herald comes from a talk I gave last week to an organization here in Waco called the Brazos Forum.  My task was to deliver some closing remarks at the final luncheon, summing up and synthesizing two days of listening to some insightful academics and professionals from around the country talk about the value of America’s historic homes and gardens.  I sought to connect the topic with the broader culture of the country and to the way we think about history.  Read the whole thing HERE.
