My column this week in the Waco Tribune-Herald takes stock of what ought not to be jettisoned as a child grows into an adult but that sadly often is.
“When I was a child I spoke like a child and thought as a child,” the apostle Paul tells us in his letter to the Corinthians. “But when I became an adult I put away childish things.” One of the things that our materialistic culture seems to have decided that our children should put away after a certain age is an interest in taking part in the arts.
